In honor of Ruhnama, to the glory of independent homeland
On September 12, Turkmenistan is going to celebrate the 6th anniversary of the publication of Ruhnama - the epoch-making book by the founder and first President of Turkmenistan Saparmurat Niyazov. Absorbing the broad information on the Turkmen history, the Turkmen mentality, the national cultural traditions and customs the outstanding book serves as a spiritual symbol of the new era, revival and generator of the people's spiritual power inspiring us for constructive labour and new accomplishments for the glory and wellbeing of our homeland.
On these days the meetings, conferences and social and political and cultural actions dedicated to the remarkable event are held all over the country.
The solemn presentations of Ruhnama in different languages will be held in Ashgabat on these days vividly evidencing the international community's keen and undiminishing interest in the book. The festive cycle will include the presentations of the sequel of Ruhnama in Hungarian, Finnish, Byelorussian and Malay and the presentations of the first book of Ruhnama in Baluchi.
By tradition, the public organisations, members of the Galkynysh National Movement, were the first to start the marathon of festive celebrations. A conference organized by the Galkynysh National Movement in collaboration with the Turkmen National Institute of Democracy and Human Rights under President of Turkmenistan and the Council for Religious Affairs under President of Turkmenistan will be held in Ashgabat. The anniversary celebrations will be arranged at the National Center of Trade Unions.
The forums and artistic meetings are held at the research institutes, libraries, schools and institutions of higher education.
The cultural workers devote their works, talent and inspiration to the nationwide celebrations. The programme includes the concerts, performances, exhibitions, literary soirees and contests. The large expositions will be presented at the Museum of Fine Arts, the National Museum of Turkmenistan and at the exhibition hall of the State Academy of Fine Arts. The performances on occasion of Turkmen Baghshi Day will be a wonderful present for folk music lovers. The folk music concerts will be arranged at the National Conservatoire of Turkmenistan and the Mukam Palace of the National Cultural Center, on the square in front of the monument to a prominent Turkmen poet Garajaoglan. The horse races will be held at the Ashgabat Hypoderm this Sunday.
The main festive events in honour of the outstanding literary work will be held in Ashgabat on September 12. The Ruhnama - Philosophy of the New Millennium International Conference will bring together the representatives of the international scientific circles - historians, specialists in study of literature, linguists and translators from 20 countries worldwide in the ancient land of Turkmenistan. The scientific forum will be held at the Mukam Palace of the National Cultural Center of Turkmenistan on September 12.
The best professional and amateur artists and artistic groups of Turkmenistan will arrange a big concert at the National Park of Independence.
