The sequel of Ruhnama presented in Belarusian
The presentation of the sequel of Ruhnama in the Belarusian language was held in Ashgabat. The action was organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Culture and Broadcasting of Turkmenistan.
Opening the official part of the ceremony Vice Premier M. Yazmuhammedova noted the significant importance of the event in maintaining and enhancing friendly relations between the Turkmen and Belarusian peoples, who had entered a new historical stage of national development marked for Turkmenistan with the epoch-making reforms and large-scale development programmes initiated by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov
Those speaking at the ceremony noted that Ruhnama had been translated into more than 40 languages and won the readers in over 3,180 libraries in 167 libraries worldwide. Symbolizing humanism, national self-consciousness, unity, friendship and mutual understanding the book remained a prominent book in the third millennium of intense interest growing with every passing year.
Speaking at the ceremony First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan A. Malashevich emphasized that the peoples of Turkmenistan and Belarus were bound with the long-term friendly relations that had been substantially strengthened during the years of independence. Ruhnama helped the readers in Belarus discover the great civilisations once had flourished in the ancient Turkmen land and know the achievements the Turkmen people had gained in the modern period. The Belarusian people took intense interest in the events taking place in Turkmenistan in the epoch of new revival.
The cabinet ministers of Turkmenistan, the members of the Turkmen Parliament, the representatives of the national ministries and departments, the Turkmen public and artistic organisations, the heads and officials of the diplomatic missions accredited to Turkmenistan and the students took part in the presentation arranged at the Mollanepes Student Theatre. Those speaking at the ceremony put emphasis on the outstanding significance of Ruhnama for spiritual perception of the history of mankind as well as the determination of the place of the centuries-old Turkmen history in it.
Upon concluding the ceremony the Turkmen and Belarusian artists and the music, dance and folk groups performed a big concert.
